Razorback football is back this weekend Razorback fans will need to bring their phones to get into the game. All tickets must now be downloaded into the fans' mobile wallets.

Instead of scanning a barcode, like in previous years, fans must now hold their phones near a scanner that will capture the ticket from their mobile wallet.

Taylor McGillis with Razorback Athletics said the new system will be more convenient for fans.

“We really think the new mobile ticketing process will actually speed up lines because of the different technology that allows more of a tap-and-go system rather than fully scanning your ticket barcode underneath the scanner. I will speed up that process. It will be less reliant upon ushers to be taking any physical tickets,” said McGillis.

The ticket must now be inside of your Apple or Google wallet. To add a ticket, fans must go through the “Razorback One app.”

According to McGillis, the upgraded system is the new standard for mobile ticketing.

“About seven other schools are implementing this technology this year,” he said. “So we just wanted to make sure we’re staying on the forefront and ultimately will provide our fans a better mobile ticketing experience once they understand how it operates.”

He said the best way to experience the system is to download the ticket ahead of your arrival to the game. He said if you wait, your download could be impacted by Wi-Fi issues.

The new system will be in place for the game this Saturday at War Memorial Stadium. If a fan is not able to download their ticket to their mobile wallets, paper tickets will still be available at the stadium's box office.

Mobile tickets aren’t the only thing that’s new this year. There is also a new video board on the south end of the stadium and a new rooftop bar.
